Get Registered...so we can get dancing!

Sending out a BIG thanks to all those who've registered for a (hearty) Blogger Social '08.

And a happy Valentine's Day to all "Socialites"!

We've so much to announce shortly on Blogger Social...and it's truly spectacular stuff, but we're still locking-down our venues.

If you haven't already, there's only 24 hours left to register...so dance your way on over to registration right here. It beats a dozen red roses any day.

So get registered, get excited and get ready to dance the weekend away Drew and I are so excited we've already starting cutting a rug (Fred and Ginger got nothin' on us!)

We were interested in attending, but the lack of a number to call, the need to register and provide payment without first having a specific date and location, and finally the lack of having any "known" names behind the event - or a track record of ever holding event - have all held us back.

Hey Jordan: We've had a date for Blogger Social (April 4-April 6th, 2008) since September 2007 and launched this blog on September 20th, 2007.

See, we launched the idea for the event on June 1st...plus a survey (that was available for a month) for everyone to "vote" on location so the community picked the city and state.

This is a 100% community effort where the community is creating it, it's not at all a conference, tradeshow, summit or seminar that's a for-profit event. It's just a different "event animal" altogether--hence the event category of "social".

And because this entire event is funded on registration revenue--we do not have corporate sponsors or a profit entity behind it--we have had to know total headcounts before booking venues...so we have let people know the 3 types of events but full schedules come out on March 1st (it's hard to book venues until you know headcounts and since this is a first-ever, we needed to ensure we had interest and commitments).
